Drew just laid down for his nap. He ate a whole bag of ramon noodles. He went to sleep real easy for his nap, no fussing, he just rolled around for about 5 minutes and fell asleep. We have to go back to the civil affairs office at 2:00 they could not complete all the paperwork on all the kids this a.m. and after that we go to the police station to apply for his passport. A different procedure than last time.
Drew has fair skin. I got a better look at his teeth. His top teeth are not as straight as his bottom ones but not too bad and he has a chip out of his right front tooth. They look better than I thought they would considering the lack of dairy he has had.
He had a little bit of a come apart at the civil affairs office. I know what the problem was, he was hot. I did not have him dressed enough by Chinese standards, about the equivalent to granny standards, but he was still sweating, and he had to just sit in my lap for about an hour. Once I took his coat off, getting the evil eye from several people, he was much better. I had on a short sleeve shirt and I was sweating, of course that could have been because of the civil official interview. I know all this paperwork and interview stuff is formalities but it still makes me nervous.
